Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach via email if you have a question.

The Gossamer Web is a space where I try to make life’s simple moments come to life with honesty and heart. From sharing or reviewing a favorite recipe, to the ups and downs of parenting, I share everyday magic. I also open up about the deeper, more fragile parts of life - love, loss, and living with grief. It’s a place where the ordinary becomes meaningful, and the raw moments can connect us all.

You are welcome to share links to my articles on social media or other platforms. Don't steal my words as your own. Like, why?

I wasn’t taught to cook as a child, so I had to figure it out on my own. While I like to say I taught myself, the truth is, I was copying—learning from the generations of cooks who shared their favorite dishes and techniques on T.V., in magazines and books, etc. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Over the years, I’ve compiled a recipe book filled with notes (my own thoughts), ratings (from family), and amendments (the tweaks I’ve made to suit our tastes). It’s a reflection of what I’ve learned, what I’ve borrowed, and what I’ve made my own.

The recipes you'll find here are always either original creations or inspired by others (just like every recipe has ever been) and I'll be sure to note what's what. After all, cooking is an act of sharing and adapting, and none of us are really inventing anything new. We’re all just passing along what we love; making it our own.
